what to expect

Pre Sweep
Ahead of your chimney sweep appointment, I kindly request that you clear the area in front of your stove or fireplace, ensuring there's roughly a 3 x 2 meter space available for me to operate efficiently. If space is tight, there's no need to worry—I'm flexible and can work within the constraints of your living area.
Please remove any large, unused pieces of fuel from around the stove or fireplace. Ash can be left as is, since I'll be vacuuming it away as part of the cleaning process. If your heating appliance is a stove, there's no need to remove any of its internal parts; I'll handle that if necessary.
For the safety and efficiency of the cleaning, please make sure that any fires or stoves are extinguished the night before the appointment, ensuring they are cool enough for me to safely work on. If you have an Aga or Rayburn, it's important to leave these extinguished for 24 hours prior to my visit to allow for adequate cooling.

During Sweep
My initial step involves inspecting your chimney and stove to understand the specifics of the task at hand. Following this, I'll gather the necessary equipment from my van tailored to your chimney's needs.
To ensure cleanliness and safety, I will seal the stove or fireplace area tightly. This step is essential to prevent any soot or debris from escaping into your living space during the cleaning process. Using a specialized rod and brush system, I'll meticulously sweep your chimney from top to bottom. All soot and dust will be efficiently captured by a HEPA-filtered vacuum, guaranteeing a thorough clean without leaving a trace in your home. Once the sweep is complete, I will conduct a detailed vacuuming of the area around the fireplace or stove to ensure everything is left spotless.

Post Sweep
After completing the chimney sweep, I'll take the time to share any recommendations or maintenance tips that could enhance the performance and longevity of your fireplace or stove. This is also a great moment for you to ask any questions you might have—whether they're about the day's service, future care, or general inquiries about your heating appliance.
As for payment, it can be conveniently made in cash. Alternatively, I can provide you with banking details for a direct transfer, whichever method suits you best. This flexibility ensures that the conclusion of our appointment is as smooth and hassle-free as the service itself.
