Hi, I’m Jon Atkinson, owner of NE Sweep. I provide professional, mess-free chimney sweeping for log burners, multi-fuel stoves, open fires and gas fires across the North East of England.

At NE Sweep, I offer a comprehensive range of chimney sweeping, inspection and stove maintenance services.
Chimney sweeping for log burners, multi-fuel stoves, open fires and gas fires: Professional sweeping to remove soot, creosote, debris and blockages, helping your chimney and appliance work safely and efficiently.
Log burner and multi-fuel stove cleaning and maintenance: Professional cleaning and maintenance, including the fitting of replacement fire bricks, door seals and glass.
Camera and drone inspections: Camera inspections can assess the internal condition of your chimney or liner, while drone inspections can check chimney stacks, pots, cowls and other visible external issues.
Certificates provided: Receive a certificate of work after every sweep for your records and insurance purposes.
New homeowner checks: A sweep and inspection, including checks of the connected appliance, helping ensure everything is safe before you use it.
Bird nest removal and bird rescue: Inactive nests can be removed where legally permitted. If a live bird or active nest is found, I will follow the requirements of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and advise on the safest next steps.
